Every Child Deserves To Flourish

Elizabeth’s life was torn apart.

Your gifts helped rescue and protect her.

Now she is healing – and she has hope.

Here’s her story – and how you can help.

It was a young girl’s worst nightmare.

Like any ordinary 16-year-old girl, Elizabeth* lived with her family, attended school, and laughed and joked with her friends.

But one day, everything changed. Elizabeth’s life was torn apart when a man in her community horribly assaulted her. When she was found to be pregnant because of the abuse, his family kidnapped her. Elizabeth’s innocence was suddenly taken away. Her future seemed to be in tatters. And she was terribly afraid as she feared for her life.

Tragically, this is a scenario that many girls in East Africa face - every single day.

That’s why, with the help of friends like you, HopeCo has responded. This year, we opened a new safe house, the House of Farajahin Kenya. Here, Elizabeth and other young girls like her are rescued, protected, and nurtured. They receive counseling to help them heal from their trauma. We share the love of Jesus with them. And we help them back into school so they can continue their education and have hope for the future.

That’s not all. We are working with the police, judges, and partner organizations to pursue justice for young girls who have been abused. In the past few months, we have secured the convictions of three men. Each one will be in prison for many years, unable to hurt another precious child. One of these is the man who assaulted Elizabeth. This is good news!

But the needs we face are overwhelming. And in 2023, we must do more – rescue and protect more girls, provide more trauma-informed care to hurting children, work with local schools to raise awareness about child abuse and prevention - and ensure that those who commit these terrible crimes are locked away.

This can only be accomplished with your help. We need to raise an additional $15,000 by the end of this year so that we can provide protection, healing, and hope to Elizabeth and other girls just like her in 2023.

Please stand with these precious girls today by making a generous gift – for whatever amount you are able to share - to help them heal and provide them with hope.

Today, Elizabeth is making a remarkable recovery. She is healing from the abuse she has endured. She’s started studying in school again. And she recognizes the love that Jesus has for her. It’s a long journey, but we are encouraged to see her progress!

Thank you, for being so willing to fight for justice for these hurting young girls - you are making a lasting impact.

Gratefully,

Matt Parker | CEO

P.S. Please pray with us for Elizabeth and other girls like her. And please make a special gift today that will ensure we can rescue and protect more girls, giving them new hope and a future.

Thank you for caring!
