Here’s his story – and how you can help!

Dear Friend,

God is changing lives in East Africa - and the story of Joseph and his brother demonstrates God’s love and provision!

These two precious little boys watched in terror as their father beat their mother to the point of death. Thinking he had killed his wife, Joseph’s father committed suicide in front of his two sons. Although she survived, their mother was permanently disabled and could no longer provide for the children.

But there is hope and healing for these two little boys, as they are now safe at the City of Hope. They can now learn, grow, and heal from painful pasts in a secure and loving environment. They receive medical care, clothing, nutritious food, and experience the love of their Heavenly Father. This is good news!

Education is another essential part of our care for children like Joseph. A quality education helps young people break out of poverty, pursue satisfying and productive careers, and reach their full potential. That is our goal for every child we serve – and we are delighted to see how Joseph is thriving as he studies in school!

In 2023, we will continue expanding the facilities at Destiny Primary School, improving the quality of teaching and learning and giving our children the skills they need to thrive. And we need your help with this.

To offer our children vital literacy and technology skills at a young age, we will equip a new library and computer lab at Destiny Primary School. We are already creating the classroom space needed, but now need to furnish it with desks and chairs, bookshelves, books, computers, and other vital equipment.

This project can only be accomplished with your support. We need to raise $25,000 by the end of this year to open this new facility in 2023.

Joseph has made remarkable progress since joining City of Hope, and we have high hopes for him as he looks to the future and pursues his dreams. It’s a long journey, but we are encouraged by his progress – and we look forward to seeing how God will work in his life in the future!
