Your Gifts Help Sally Achieve Her Dreams!

“My father was the sole breadwinner for my family. We were destitute and often had no food to eat. After my father died, my mom could not cope. She abused me, locking me outside and making me sleep in the cold. She tried to stop me from getting an education.”

Sally* pauses briefly as she reflects on this sad time in her life. Then her face brightens. “But my neighbor told me about City of Hope. They are helping me fulfill my dreams! Now I live with a friend, and every day I come to learn.”

Sally has a dream for her future. “I am mastering the skills needed to get a job and earn an income. I can run my own business and support my family. I believe I can do it!”

Vulnerable young women like Sally have hope because of HopeCo’s empowerment programs. As they study, they gain confidence, the ability to earn a living, and an understanding of how much Jesus loves them!

We also support hundreds of young moms in the community by giving them the knowledge and tools to care for themselves and their children. In a region where infant mortality is extremely high, the lives of women and their children are saved as they receive health checks, medicines, and vaccinations, and learn vital skills from our health education workshops.
