International Executive Director & Co-founder
Regina Chacha is the International Executive Director and co-founder (with her late husband, Dr. John Chacha) of Teamwork Ministries International and City of Hope. Her passion is to see communities transformed through the power of the Gospel – which is the only hope for this world. She is committed to seeing City of Hope continue to uplift the community and bring transformation to the region.
Regina received an MBA from Averett University and a BS in education from Eastern Mennonite University. She has six children who are all involved in the ministry in some way. She is also “Mama” to the 100 children in the children’s home at City of Hope and 33 Tanzanian children who are studying at Mountain Mission School in Grundy, VA. She divides her time between Ntagacha, Tanzania (City of Hope) and Martinsville, Virginia (home base for Teamwork Ministries) with occasional visits to other partners in ministry around the world.
Tanzania Director for City of Hope
Minister Hudson Mahare is the country (Tanzania) director for City of Hope. He is adept at overseeing extensive building projects, as well as managing the daily operations of the City of Hope schools, children’s home, and medical center. Under his leadership, a new primary dorm and the Dr. John Chacha Secondary School and the Institute of Leadership were built. Current building projects include our secondary school teacher housing, as well as two dorms for our secondary school students. This is a tremendous accomplishment given the challenges of working in a remote village environment.
Hudson is a gifted speaker with a heart for mentoring young people and seeing them find and fulfill God’s purpose in their lives. He has been instrumental in organizing conferences and weekend challenge meetings for our children, staff, local pastors and the community. He has a background in Education-Business Studies, Aviation Operations, Building and Construction engineering, and Logistical Operations. He holds a bachelor's degree and various certifications in psychology, leadership and ministry. This education and experience, along with mentoring under COH founder Dr. John Chacha, well prepared him for this position. Before coming to City of Hope, he was the operations coordinator at Missionary Aviation Fellowship-Europe. He is also an ordained minister, currently serving as a deacon at Global Light Church in East Africa.
