    Map of Africa The City of Hope is a place with an innovative and unique vision. It is a revolutionary concept, a humanitarian effort conceived in the heart of Dr. John N. Chacha, a native of Tanzania. The goal is to transform communities and to redeem and save young people who have been forgotten by life. It is a project of Teamwork Ministries based in Martinsville, Virginia, USA.
  2. Where is the pilot project for City of Hope located?
    In Ntagatcha village in Western Tanzania, about 45 miles from Lake Victoria, near the border of Kenya.

  4. What other projects is The City of Hope involved in?
    • Tumaini (Hope) Medical Center - a medical clinic, hospital, women's center and infant care facility
    • Local schools - renovating schools, providing supplies, building desks
    • Through our partnership with Zao Living Waters wells have been dug, and hygienically functional latrines built
    • Helping children by providing clothing and school supplies
  5. What are the projected completion dates for the various projects?
    • As of November 2008, Phase 1 (the mission center and children's home) is 75% complete
    • The Mission center - 75% complete, however it is operational and occupied
    • The City of Hope Children's Home - January 2009
    • The Dream Center - September 2009
    • Tumaini Medical Center - Fall 2009

    With your support of $35 a month you can establish a meaningful relationship with your Child of Hope at The City of Hope and help him or her overcome obstacles towards becoming a bright and productive contributor to their community.
